The Eagles’ JV team finished second in the four-team Peru JV Invitational on Saturday. Culver Academies won all three rounds, Delta was 2-1, Peru 1-2, and Huntington North finished 0-3.
In the opening round, Culver won 4-1 over Delta. The Eagles then edged Peru 3-2 and finished with a 4-1 victory over Huntington North.
Going undefeated on the day with 3-0 records were freshmen Brady Williams, Aaron Elliott and Ayden Mitchell. Winning twice were Owen Cupp, John Atkinson, Caleb Hewitt, Kam Swoboda and Kaden Crist. Adding one victory were Simon Marlow, Ben Miller and James Root.
The JV team now has an 11-6-2 record for the season.
Sophomore Owen Cupp owns the team’s top record with a 14-4 mark. Junior Caleb Hewitt is 12-6, while freshman Aaron Elliott is 11-7. Three players — freshman Ben Miller, freshman John Atkinson and sophomore Kam Swoboda — have 10 victories for the season.
