Delta Tennis has been a “giant killer” in the 2013-2014 school year. The Eagles’ boys’ and girls’ tennis teams have beaten seven of Indiana’s largest 30 high schools this year. In the fall, the boys gained 5-0 shutout victories over Lake Central (6th biggest at 3,271 students), Franklin Central (13th at 2,586), and Homestead (21st at 2,260). In addition, the boys finished ahead of Jeffersonville (27th at 2,080) and Columbus North (29th at 2,034) in the Jeffersonville Invitational. This spring, the DHS girls have gained 3-2 victories over Hamilton Southeastern (8th at 3,009) and Center Grove (17th at 2,387). Delta ranks 133rd with an enrollment of 803 students.
