The Eagles pushed back a strong challenge from conference rival Mt. Vernon for a 5-0 home-court victory on Wednesday night.

The 12th-ranked Eagles pulled out some close first sets, winning 6-4 in three of the five varsity matches.  Then, with added confidence, the Eagles finished stronger in the second sets.

The junior varsity match came down to the final court, where Mt. Vernon won a tiebreaker to pull out an 8-7 victory.

Before the match, all Delta players and managers honored a special teacher in our annual Teacher Appreciation ceremony.
