In the final round of the FW Carroll Invitational, 24th-ranked Delta edged 27th-ranked Fort Wayne Canterbury, 3-2, in a nailbiter.
The Eagles swept doubles as Cade Brown and Mason Knight won 6-2, 7-5 and Jaigen Glaze and Walker Boyle won 6-3, 6-4.
For the second match in a row, Brandon Jackson put the exclamation point on the team victory with a 6-3, 2-6, (11-9) victory at #2 singles. He trailed 4-8 in the final tiebreaker and also trailed 7-9 before he came up big under pressure to win the final four points.
Delta is now 7-1 for the season and will travel to Hoosier Heritage Conference opponent New Castle for a match Tuesday at 4:45 p.m.
