Delta ended a 13-hour day of tennis on Saturday by edging Richmond 3-2 in the championship round of the Delta Invitational. The event was delayed early in the day by slow-drying courts from overnight rain.
Junior Tanner Southerland gained a 7-6, 7-6 victory at No. 1 singles over a strong opponent to highlight the victory. Other winners were Daniel Vencel at No. 3 singles and Jaigen Glaze/Walker Boyle at No. 2 doubles.
Both Richmond victories came in very close matches.
