The JV team won two of three matches on Saturday at the Fort Wayne Carroll JV Invitational.
The day began with a 6-1 victory over Homestead #1.
The Eagles then lost a narrow 3-4 decision to Carroll’s unbeaten JV. This was a strong result considering Carroll JV defeated Delta 10-1 the previous week.
Finally, the JV beat Homestead #2 by a 6-1 score in the final round.
The Delta JV (13-2) will finish its season with a home match against Mt. Vernon at 4:30 p.m. Monday.
Several players were unbeaten in their matches Saturday. Josef Zacek went 3-0 at No. 1 singles. Eli Arnold also went 3-0, as did Landon Freiburger, Ross Meacham and Cooper Roach. Kaiden Baty finished 2-0 on the day.
