The 11th-ranked Eagles started the Fort Wayne Carroll Invite with a 1-4 loss to 19th-ranked Hamilton Southeastern.
The highlight for the Eagles came at No. 1 singles, where Tannon Dishman outlasted HSE star freshman Aiden DeWitt 6-3, 6-7, 11-9. Dishman overcame three match points in the tiebreaker to win the match.
Delta’s Tanner Southerland won the first set at No. 3 singles, but fell in the match in a third-set tiebreaker to HSE senior Elias Yarling.
