Highlighted by a dramatic 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 victory for Abigail Bamidele at No. 1 singles, the Eagles shut out Shelbyville 5-0 on Saturday morning at Mt. Vernon courts.

Bamidele, playing No. 1 singles in the absence of regular No. 1 player Gwen Clark, outlasted the hard-hitting Knox in a 2.5-hour match.

The 11th-ranked Eagles (15-2) dominated the rest of the positions.

Maggie Hunt won 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2 singles.  Gabby Knight was a 6-0, 6-0 winner at No. 3.

Tynan Dishman and Maggie Manor won 6-0, 6-0.

Sara Cardemon and Janet Wegener won 6-0, 6-0.

The Eagles won the JV match 12-1.
