In the semifinal round of the Delta Invitational, the Eagles suffered their first loss of the season.  Hamilton Southeastern, ranked 12th, gained a 4-1 victory over the 11th-ranked Delta Eagles.  Both doubles matches went to third-set tiebreakers.

Our JV team competed in the invitational as the eighth varsity entrant.  Our JV lost 4-1 to Brown County’s varsity in the second round.

Round Three of the tournament should have been matches between Delta varsity vs. Warsaw for third place and Delta JV vs. Muncie Burris for seventh place.  Neither match was played.  Warsaw and Yorktown each dropped out of the third round due to Prom, and Burris instead played Brown County for fifth place.

FW Carroll, ranked 4th in the state, won the tournament.  The Chargers edged Hamilton Southeastern 3-2 in the finals.  The match came down to a third-set tiebreaker at No. 2 singles, which Carroll won.
