Fall 2026 — As a sophomore, Brandon will play a major role for the varsity Eagles. He brings excellent athleticism and years of experience to his first high school season. A year-round tennis player, he participates in tournaments and knows how to compete as an athlete from his years in basketball and tennis. He can play singles or doubles.
Fall 2025 — As a freshman, Brandon was one of three outstanding freshmen on varsity. He went 2-0 JV and 19-3 varsity, playing matches at No. 3 singles and at both doubles positions with various partners. He and partner Brady Williams won a huge match at No. 2 doubles vs Westfield in the regional and also beat Homestead in semi-state.
His father, Josh Grubbs, is the men’s and women’s tennis head coach at Taylor University and a former tennis head coach at Leo High School. He played tennis at Bethel College. His mother, Abby Grubbs, was a star basketball player at Carroll HS in Fort Wayne and at Bethel College, where she is a member of the Bethel College Hall of Fame.
