Former DHS Tennis singles standout Maggie Thompson will join the DHS girls’ tennis coaching staff for the Spring 2018 season.
Thompson, currently a nursing student at Ball State University, has been approved as a volunteer assistant coach. She will join head coach Tim Cleland and assistant coach Jacob Brewer on the staff.
“We are excited to have Maggie on board as an assistant coach,” Cleland said. “As a player, she was a relentless competitor with a high energy level. I think she will bring those traits to her coaching style, also.”
Thompson ranks eighth in all-time varsity victories for DHS Girls’ Tennis with 68 wins. She played singles throughout her career with the Eagles.
She has served as an instructor at the Tim Cleland Tennis Camp in previous summers.
