The Eagles came home with a 5-0 road victory after a long weekday trip to Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran on Tuesday night.

Delta, ranked 12th, improved its record to 12-2 with the victory. The Eagles have shut out 11 of their 14 opponents this spring.

Their only losses have been to Top 10-ranked teams Hamilton Southeastern (1-4) and South Bend St. Joseph (2-3). The team plays against 6th-ranked Center Grove today (Thursday, May 10) at Mt. Vernon courts at 5:30 p.m.

Against Concordia, Ellie Snider won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 1 singles to raise her record to 13-4. Emma Snider won 6-1, 6-0 and is now 15-2 at No. 2 singles. Tynan Dishman improved to 14- 3 with a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles.

Lexie Manor and Grace Belangee gained a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles. They are 15-2 for the season. Mayzie Hinkle and Maggie Manor won 6-0, 6-1 at No. 2 doubles. This is a position also where the Eagles are 15-2 for the year (Hinkle is 9-1, Manor is 10-1 and Kortney Helm is 10-2).

The JV team won 9-7 against Concordia and will take a record of 8-2-1 into tonight’s match at Center Grove.
