Delta gained a 3-2 victory over 27th-ranked Oldenburg Academy in the opening round of the Eagle Round Robin.

Gwendolyn Clark and Gabby Knight led the way with 6-0, 6-0 victories at No. 1 singles.  Janet Wegener and Maggie Hunt claimed a hard-fought 7-6, 6-4 victory at No. 1 doubles over a strong Oldenburg duo.

Oldenburg collected victories at No. 3 singles in a close match over freshman Brylee Beckley and at No. 2 doubles in a third-set tiebreaker over seniors Olivia Miller and Eden Richey.  The top No. 2 doubles team of Madelyn Haley and Iva Witter rested this match.

The Eagles, ranked 19th, moved to 1-1 on the season.
