A tricky crosswind of 25 mph — with gusts higher and swirling — gave the players fits throughout the match. Add in temperatures in the high 80s and it was challenging to say the least.
Yorktown hung tough in the early going with several courts at 3-2 or 4-3.

Over time, Delta pulled away to gain its 11th straight sectional championship and its 29th title in the past 30 years.
Ranked 20th, Delta (16-4) will face Jay County at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the Marion Regional semifinals. Alexandria, ranked 29th, and Mississinewa will meet in the other semifinal.
